Swing Keel Fairing

The outer layer of fiberglass was pigmented white in color for appearence. I used a belt sander to to give the keel its final shape. I needed to be concerned about the additional 4" of keel and how it would fit into the hull once the keel was installed. I made the "new" section of keel a slightly reduced width to insure hull clearance.

Rough sanding and filling in any voids Final shaping with a belt sander - red line shows the added weight

The keel restoration project was nearing completion and it was time to apply a finishing coat (on to next page)
