Tiller Tamer

Return to Single-Handed Return to Completed Projects

The Tiller Tamer finishes off the single-handed rigging design. I can temporarily secure the tiller and take short trips forward to lower/raise the keel, adjust rigging, etc.

Notice the additional backstay (red arrow) that I installed. It is a full backstay (not split) and runs to the top of the mast. This gives the rig a more symetrical support system while 'beefing it up' a little bit. The rig now has a total of 9 stays, and is similar to that of a Rhodes 22.
