We get out sailing mostly during the summer months, and are still exploring our local waters. The kids like to go out on the bow while we motor in and out of the harbor. Sometimes they engage in a pushing match to pass the time.

Lunch Cruise

We sailed down to the next major harbor in a 20-25 mph wind out of the south west.  It was a bit choppy on the way back, with 4+ foot swells.  The boat seemed to manage the swells pretty well, the 'little one' thought it was a fun ride.

Trip to Martha's Vineyard

We travelled to Martha's Vineyard. The current is quite strong (4-6 knots) in that area, so you have to time your passage with the tide. We managed to get a shot of Wood's Hole Oceanagraphic Institue (WHOI). We docked in Vineyard Haven and got a shot of our intended destination - The Black Dog Tavern! A Swan was looking for some leftovers from our lunch.
